There have been a few unforgetable nonconference games between these two teams the past few decades, but there was a time before 1991 when Texas vs. Arkansas was one of the stellar matchups of the Southwest Conference season. This season, if everything goes right way for Arkansas in the nasty SEC West, and if Texas can get a little more production out of the offense, this might not be an unrealistic showdown. The Longhorns’ defense should be among the quickest and most trained in college football, with their track team in the secondary, a lightning-fast linebacker corps and an all pro NFL defensive line. Arkansas doesn’t have any problems with its offense, thanks to their quarterback and the return of running back Knile Davis from an ankle injury. Don’t forget to find a good sportsbook before the Season gets in full swing. I always shop two or three to get the best odds.
